<p>Are you planning on updating to OS X 10.10? It seems, that
things have improved under 10.10.</p>
<p>We have a ticket for this problem. I connected this discussion

I'm using IMAP on all accounts. Sorry, forgot to mention that.<br>
For various reasons (older hardware, no need for handoff and
similar gadgets, etc.) I'm not planning on upgrading to 10.10 soon,
sorry...<br>

If you are still affected by this issue, consider updating to macOS 10.13 High Sierra.</p></div>Steve
