Does the MacGPG2 updater use GPG to verify the update?
Does MacGPG2 2.0.26b2 use GPG in the "Software Update" section to verify the update before installing? Or is it safer to manually download the update from the website and then verify it using GPG?

Hi 12gcdk,
there was a glitch in that update that could lead to an update loop so I suggest downloading GPG Suite beta 5 from our homepage, verifying the download and then installing from there.
Sparkle updates do check for a developer signature.
All the best,
steve

Thanks! I've gone ahead and done that. Good to hear that the Sparkle updater verifies signatures as well.
