I am using the betas since the beginning with Yosemite (10.10.1
currently) and after a couple of restarts of Mail.app I always get
the "Beta expired" dialogue. I am using 2.5b4, build 802b of
GPGMail now. Sometimes it helps restarting Mail.app, it sometimes
loads the Extension then. But most of the time it stays inactive.
Is there any way to debug this and see why GPGMail thinks it is
expired?

Thanks,

thanks for the report. Did you install from our homepage or via
automatic updates?

Could you try to reinstall from our homepage and see if that
changes anything?

All the best,

thanks for the very fast response. I did install it from the
homepage because I couldn't get the old extension to work anymore.
Currently it is working and stable between restarts of Mail.app.
But after the first start of Mail.app after installing Beta 4 it
was still prompting the expired beta.

Kind regards,

There is a known issue when you put your mac to sleep that you
might see a "no pinentry" error. In that case a machine restart
will serve as a workaround.
