Just installed Beta4, and the same error that occurred in Beta3 is present. Attempting to sign a message results in a crash.

    Hi Sean,

did you install the GPG Suite Beta 4 from our homepage? Could you try a re-install.

Does the issue then still persist?

    All the best,
    steve

    Hi Sean,

could you please post the contents or attach your gpg.conf and gpg-agent.conf file.
It looks like there might be a problem in them. Did you change them manually by any chance?
The files can be found in the hidden .gnupg folder in your home directory.

Could you also please attach the crash log? That would be very helpful.

Just a little more detail on the debugging steps requested by Luke:

    gpg.conf:

    • open finder
    • press shift + cmd +g
    • copy paste ~/.gnupg/ press enter

Attach the gpg.conf and the gpg-agent.conf files to this discussion.

    crash log:

as soon as the crash happens, please click on report, copy / paste all info to TextEdit and save as .txt file. Then attach that file to this discussion.

    All the best,
    steve

I don’t think there is an actual crash. The error message that is displayed says:

    ====
Unfortunately we can't handle the error at this point.

Should your problem persist, please contact us at http://support.gpgtools.org with the following error description:

    Hi Sean,

do you use homebrew gpg by any chance or are you using MacGPG2?

Could you please run the following command in Terminal:

    gpg --version

    and post the output?

    Thanks!
