GPGMail: Encrypted mail stuck on "loading"

Hi GPG support,

I have seen similar threads on here, but haven't found a solution.

  1. When I load the mail app on Mac, and open an encrypted email, it gets stuck on "loading" and never opens. Once in a while, on loading the mail app after rebooting, for example, it asks me for my password and I am able to view one encrypted email before the stuck "loading" problem resumes.

  2. When I click on Preferences in the mail app, and click on GPGMail, the application hangs and I have to force quit in order to get it to respond.

  3. I downloaded the latest nightly build as of 11/30, and my GPG Keychain says it's version 1.4 (1377)

Can you help?

Thank you!
Lisa

    Hi Lisa,

we are very sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with GPG Suite.
In order to learn more about the reason of the hang we would need an "Analyse" and "Spin Dump", when this occurs next. Following are the steps on how to create them.

    Spindump

    • open Activity Monitor
    • sort after 'Process Name' (first column) and select Mail
    • click the cogwheel icon and select 'Spindump'
    • 'Save...' the Spindump output to your desktop
    • attach the resulting file to your existing discussion

    Process Sample

    • open Activity Monitor
    • sort after 'Process Name' (first column) and select Mail
    • click the cogwheel icon and select 'Sample Process'
    • 'Save...' the Spindump output to your desktop
    • attach the resulting file to your existing discussion

    Thank you for your assistance!
