GPGMail 10.10.2 Mail.app 8.2 compatibility (was: GPG plugin expiration message at startup of Apple Mail) (GPGMail #780 open)
Who is able to help?
Latest beta version of MacOS X, Yosemite permanently disables the
GPG plugin with the message that the validity is expired. How can I
adjust this setting?
Thanks for your advise!
Regards - T.

Hi Till,
please visit our homepage, download and install the latest beta. That will fix this problem.
Then make sure to tick the update check in Mail.app > Preferences > GPGMail to make sure you are receiving all beta updates.
All the best,
steve

I have the same problem here but the suggested solution is not working for me. I uninstalled everything and put the b2 on but still the same warning...
Support Staff 5 Posted by Steve on 28 Nov, 2014 03:33 PM
Till: What do you mean by that? The new version is beta 2. The old (containing the problem) version was beta 1.
Max, glad things are now working.
Please do check that update checks at Mail.app > Preferences > GPGMail are active. That way you'll receive all our beta updates.
Best,
steve

Any ideas what I can do about this?
Best,
Max
Support Staff 7 Posted by Steve on 28 Nov, 2014 04:39 PM
Sorry. Max, so you did download the b2. Could you please try running the uninstaller first. Then re-install.
Also, please try restarting your machine after the installation.
Do you then still see the warning about an expired beta?

I'm also getting an expiration notice when starting Mail.
1) I downloaded the beta2 DMG at:
https://releases.gpgtools.org/GPG%20Suite%20-%202014.11.Yosemite-b2...
2) Used the Uninstall utility in the DMG.
3) Rebooted
4) Installed from the DMG
5) I get the disabled notice when starting Mail for GPGTools (screenshot attached)
Mail is reported in About Mail as being Version 8.2 (2058.2)

Screenshot didn't get attached because I forgot to do the captcha and then didn't reattach the file when doing the captcha. Here it is...

Landon: you are on a dev seed of OS X. GPGMail is not yet compatible with OS X 10.10.2.
I have linked this discussion to the existing ticket addressing this problem. We will try to have an update as soon as possible.
Should this discussion get closed, it will be re-opened automatically once we have fixed the issue
All the best,
steve

Hey Steve,
I was just saying that your hint with the restart worked out. In the browser you can also see my whole answer correctly.
Cheers,
Max

Yep seeing the same thing here. So really i am just subscribing here :)

Marco: did you try downloading the latest beta? That should fix this problem. Or are you referring to OS X 10.10.2?
16 Posted by Marco Peereboom on 29 Nov, 2014 05:55 PM
I didn't read the thread accurately enough. My problem is that after updating to OSX 10.10.1 Mail 8.2 (2058.2) stopped working. I did reinstall PGP 2.5b2. Attached is a screenshot. Now is this a new issue or is it tracked elsewhere?
Support Staff 17 Posted by Steve on 29 Nov, 2014 05:58 PM
10.10.1 comes with Mail 8.1
10.10.2 comes with Mail 8.2
Since you are using Mail 8.2 on OS X 10.10.2 dev seed, GPGMail is not yet compatible. So you'll receive notice via this discussion as soon as we do have a working version.
All the best,
steve

GPG Suite beta 3 should be working on 10.10.2 now.
Get it from https://gpgtools.org/

Confirmed - GPG Suite beta 3 has been working well for a few days now on Yosemite dev seed with Mail 8.2.

works for me too on the latest 10.10.2 (14C81f), updated today.
