GPG Keychain: Crash on fetching signing key when User IDs open
Suppose I am viewing the User IDs on some key, and see that it is signed by a key that I don’t have in my keychain.
-
I am looking at key AAAAA, with the User IDs panel open. There is a signature of AAAAA by BBBBBB.
-
While keeping views as they are, I click on Lookup Key.
-
I look up BBBBBB
-
I import BBBBBB
Crash!

Hi Jeffrey,
thanks for taking the time to file this report.
Does this persist after updating to GPG Suite 2017.1?
I tried reproducing this problem and discovered somewhat slow response while downloading the key in question but no crash.
Just to ensure I am taking the correct steps, here's what I tried:
It takes a while to import the key but it finishes the operation after a bit without crashing.
Can you update GPG Suite to 2017.1 and see if the crash then persists.
Also we've added an easier way to do this:
Right-click any signature in the user IDs tab and from that menu you can then select "Download Key".
Let me know how that goes.
All the best,
steve

I cannot reproduce the problem with 2017.1 (GPG Keychain 1.4). So please close this issue.
Sorry, I should have closed this once I updated.
Cheers,
-j

No worries. It's always relieving to hear a potential issue is already solved :)
And if you run into further trouble don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best,
steve
