GPGMail: Failing to send signed messages (homebrew gpg)
When I try to send a signed email, I get:
Unfortunately we can't handle the error at this point.
Should your problem persist, please contact us at https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/ with the following error description:
gpg: signing failed: No secret key
gpg: signing failed: No secret key
Expected
No error, should send signed message.
Additional info
I also have homebrew gpg installed: ❯ brew list | grep pg
gnupg
gnupg2
gpg-agent
libgpg-error
And it looks like gpg / gpg-agent are coming from there:
❯ ls -al which gpg
lrwxr-xr-x 1 caleb.thompson admin 30 Jul 5 10:25 /usr/local/bin/gpg -> ../Cellar/gnupg/2.1.21/bin/gpg
❯ ls -al which gpg-agent
lrwxr-xr-x 1 caleb.thompson admin 36 Jul 5 10:25 /usr/local/bin/gpg-agent -> ../Cellar/gnupg/2.1.21/bin/gpg-agent

Hi Caleb,
welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.
Is there any specific reason you want to use homebrew?
Can you temporarily remove the homebrew gpg and see if GPGMail works as expected after then re-installing GPG Suite?
To remove homebrew gpg:
sudo ln -s /usr/local/MacGPG2/bin/gpg2 /usr/local/bin/gpg
All the best,
steve

Note: For the re-install you may want to use our latest GPG Suite nightly build. That page also has sig and SHA256 to verify the download.
All the best,
steve
