GPGMail: "Draft" Folder Interaction
Saving a draft e-mail, then closing and re-opening it, results in a corrupted e-mail (in the Drafts folder) that cannot be sent correctly.
If the draft e-mail is saved, and then sent immediately, it sends normally.
Expected
I expected the e-mail in the Drafts folder to be sendable,
reguardless of whether it had been closed perviously.

Hey Duncan,
welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.
We were unable to reproduce the problem so far.
What defaults are you using for GPGMail? Please post a screenshot of Mail.app > Preferences > GPGMail.
Are you using any other plugins?
Are you able to reliably reproduce the problem?
What kind of corruption are you seeing with the draft in question?
What happens when you try to send the corrupted draft?
All the best,
steve

Hi Steve,
Here are my preferences:
No other plugins.
The issue is reproducible. If I write a draft to a person without a GPG password (that I know), the draft behaves normally. If I write an e-mail to someone with a GPG password, even if I do not encrypt the e-mail, and save it. It transforms to this, uneditable, form:
If I send this, it comes through encrypted.
This behavior makes it impossible to edit an e-mail that will be sent, encrypted or not, to someone with a GPG password.
Thanks for your help,
Duncan

Could you please download and install our latest GPG Suite nightly build and see if the problem persists. That page also has sig and SHA1 to verify the download.
All the best, steve

Thanks Steve,
Unfortunately, the latest nightly still behaves in the same fashion—saved files intended for a recipient with a GPG key become uneditable (although still sendable).

Hi Duncan,
for some reason the message is not decrypted, which it should be when you continue to edit your draft. Is this problem always reproducible for you?

Hi Luke,
Yup, that sounds like it. The problem is completely reproducible on multiple addresses.

The newest beta of GPGmail (2.7b3) seems to have fixed the problem—thanks.
